I found a very small piece of information about a factory that was located in Middletown. The year was not given. But, the information states:
“Middletown also had a butter and cheese factory between Sixth and Seventh Streets, located on Liberty Street. Subscriptions were taken for delivery. The farmers provided the milk for processing.”
At this point I have been unable to find any other information on this past Middletown Factory. Larry Bennett, technology director at the Middletown Fall Creek Historical Society also helped look through our photo collection. No luck there either.
I have included a photo of the current property plat map where the factory would have been located. Today, these are private homes in the area.
